About
Forty years of doing one thing properly.
Founded in 1986 and based in Derby, Eastledge Limited has spent four decades delivering commercial interiors across the United Kingdom, from suspended ceilings and acoustic systems through to complete Cat A and Cat B fit-out.
Our directly-employed teams cover suspended ceilings, acoustic systems, partitions, dry lining, taping and jointing, hygienic cladding, ceramic tiling and complete Cat A and Cat B fit-out, a single accountable contract from first fix through to handover.
Forty years of commercial interiors
Eastledge was founded in Derby in 1986 as a ceiling and dry lining specialist. Over four decades of continuous trading, through the recessions of the early 1990s, the financial crisis of 2008 and the disruption of 2020, the business has grown steadily: wider trade coverage, greater geographic reach, longer relationships with the main contractors and clients who make up the core of the pipeline today.
We began as ceiling specialists, added dry lining and partitions, then expanded into acoustic systems, hygienic cladding, ceramic tiling and complete fit-out as client demand grew. Today we operate as a full commercial interiors contractor, able to deliver an entire interior package under one contract without fragmenting scope into separate packages managed by separate supply-chain appointments.
A directly-employed team
Every fixer, supervisor, dry-liner and finisher on our books is PAYE. There are no rotated subcontract chains brought in at short notice, no agency-supplied labour unfamiliar with the site or the specification. The same operatives who mobilised on day one are the ones who hand over.
CSCS cards are held as standard. Supervisors hold SSSTS certification as a minimum; SMSTS where the package scale or principal contractor requirements demand it. The trade spread covers suspended ceilings, specialist metal and timber ceiling systems, acoustic rafts and baffles, acoustic panelling, MF ceiling systems, partitions, glazed and demountable partitions, fire-rated assemblies, dry lining, taping and jointing, hygienic cladding, ceramic tiling and complete Cat A and Cat B fit-out.
How we work
When the project brief is consultant-written, we install verbatim to the manufacturer's system document. Specification compliance is not negotiable: fire ratings, acoustic performance, dimensional tolerances, each is achieved against the tested assembly for that exact system, not an approximation. FIS Site Guide tolerances are our minimum benchmark.
When the brief is design-and-build or contractor-led, we recommend systems against programme and budget. We understand cost planning at schedule level and can value-engineer without compromising tested assembly performance.
Under CDM 2015, we act as principal contractor on direct-to-client work and as sub-contractor within main-contractor frameworks. One accountable point of contact handles enquiry, survey, programme, delivery and snag closure.
Sectors and clients
Our work spans commercial environments where performance standards are enforced and programme discipline is non-negotiable:
- Education -Universities, schools and FE colleges including Aston Students’ Union, the University of Nottingham, Nottingham Trent University and Barnsley College. Live-occupation work in partially operational buildings is routine.
- Healthcare -NHS and private healthcare programmes requiring infection-control methods, appropriate dust management and compliant finishing in occupied clinical environments.
- Automotive -OEM-aligned showroom fit-out to brand standard, including Kia.
- Industrial -Production-environment acoustic strategy and commercial interiors, including Glenair.
- Retail -Fast-track shopfit, out-of-hours installation and brand-standard finishing to trading-calendar deadlines.
- Cultural -Higher-specification feature finishes for public-facing environments, including Northampton Museum.
- Office -Cat A base-build and Cat B occupier fit-out for both landlord and occupier clients.
Main contractor relationships
The majority of our work comes through established relationships with principal contractors rather than open tender. We have maintained long-running working patterns with GF Tomlinson and Kingfisher Construction, among others - relationships built on repeatable delivery and pre-loaded supply-chain approval.
For new principal contractor relationships, pre-qualification documentation is available on request within one working day: CHAS Advanced certificate, Constructionline Gold, SSIP health and safety, insurance schedules and example method statements.
Accreditations and compliance
We hold CHAS Advanced and Constructionline Gold as our principal pre-qualification accreditations, with SSIP and Social Value certification. We are also confirmed approved installers with Zentia (Pinnacle Partner), AMF, Ecophon and Rockfon. Public liability, employer's liability and contract works liability cover is maintained at levels appropriate for commercial fit-out scale; certificates are provided as part of our pre-qualification pack on request.
Full detail on each scheme and what it covers is on our accreditations page.
