TVS Acoustics at a glance

TVS Acoustics is the building acoustics division of The TVS Group (Total Vibration Solutions Ltd), a UK company established in 2009 and operating across four divisions: TVS Sports Surfaces, TVS Gym Flooring, TVS Play Surfaces and TVS Acoustics. TVS Acoustics supplies suspended acoustic baffles and rafts, mineral and soft fibre ceiling tiles, the Cleancare hygienic ceiling tile range, and metal ceiling tiles for commercial buildings. TVS products are listed on NBS Source, the specification platform used by architects, engineers and designers across the UK construction industry.

TVS Absorb acoustic baffles and rafts

The TVS Absorb range — suspended acoustic baffles and rafts — is the TVS Acoustics system Eastledge installs most frequently on education and commercial projects. The baffles are high-density felt and PET elements in a fabric finish, certified Class A sound absorbers, suspended from structural soffits on proprietary overhead hangers. They are specified where controlled reverberation is needed in a space without closing off the ceiling plane: teaching rooms, simulation suites, open-plan offices, sports halls and atriums where the exposed soffit is part of the design intent.

TVS Absorb Baffle is a linear suspended element arranged in parallel rows across the ceiling, delivering directional absorption suited to corridor-like or elongated spaces and simulation environments.

TVS Absorb Raft is a broader suspended panel delivering area-wide absorption across open-plan environments.

Both are installed coordinated with existing lighting, services and structural soffits — the pre-construction coordination of hanger positions relative to services runs is the critical installation detail for a clean result.

Featured installation — University of Nottingham CTC

Eastledge installed TVS Acoustics suspended acoustic baffles across the main teaching and simulation spaces at the University of Nottingham Clinical Training Centre, a purpose-built healthcare professional education facility at University Park, Nottingham. The baffles were specified to deliver controlled reverberation in high-occupancy, multi-use simulation rooms without compromising the open ceiling aesthetic or natural light penetration from the building's full-height window elevations. This project is an example of our multi-service delivery capability: Eastledge also carried out the ceramic tiling package within the same programme.

TVS Cleancare hygienic ceiling tiles

The TVS Cleancare is a hygienic ceiling tile manufactured to UNE-EN 14190: a Type A laminated gypsum board faced with a white PVC film for waterproofing and ease of cleaning, with an aluminium back-face vapour barrier. The smooth PVC face supports the cleaning regimes used in healthcare, food production and similar hygiene-sensitive environments, and the tile installs into a standard suspended ceiling grid.

The Cleancare is a suspended ceiling product specified in environments where the ceiling surface needs to be wiped down with cleaning agents — healthcare clinical areas, food production facilities, commercial kitchens and sports changing rooms. It is distinct from the PVC wall cladding systems (such as Kleenclad) that cover the wall planes in a hygienic envelope; the Cleancare covers the ceiling plane within the same hygiene-critical space.

Mineral, soft fibre and metal ceiling tiles

Beyond the specialist ranges, TVS Acoustics supplies standard mineral and soft fibre ceiling tiles for suspended grid systems in offices, education and commercial fit-out, and metal ceiling tiles for retail, hospitality and heavy-use environments. These sit alongside Rockfon and Ecophon as specification options in standard grid ceiling projects.
