Ceiling Fixer

The role

This is an installation role covering suspended ceiling grid systems for commercial interiors clients across the UK. Day-to-day work includes mineral fibre grid and tile, metal ceiling systems, and feature ceilings incorporating timber and specialist finishes, across commercial fit-out, education, healthcare and retail programmes.

Setting out, grid installation, tile handling, perimeter trim and coordination with other trades are all part of the job. You will work under the same in-house supervision team across every site, on programmes where the client expects the same finish standard whether the site is in Derbyshire or London.

The team

The Eastledge ceiling installation team is directly employed and mobilised from our Derby yard. There is no rotating agency labour and no remote subcontract management. You work alongside the same experienced fixers on every programme, under in-house supervisors who know the work.

Programmes you would be working on include college and university refurbishments, healthcare fit-outs in occupied clinical buildings, industrial production environments, and fast-track retail shopfit on multi-site rollout programmes. Named programmes the team has delivered include Barnsley College (suspended ceilings and acoustic systems in a live-occupation site), Glenair Mansfield (acoustic ceiling installation in an industrial setting), and a CO-OP retail rollout across sites in the Midlands and the North.

What we are looking for

• CSCS card held or in progress
• Relevant commercial ceiling installation experience, including grid, tile and perimeter systems
• UK driving licence
• Willingness to travel UK-wide with the team on project deployment
