Why Eastledge in Brighton

Local delivery, national back-office

Brighton is around three and a half hours from Derby via the M1, M25 and A23 - usually a residential mobilisation for the duration and priced into the cost up front.

Suspended Ceilings in Brighton, what we deliver

In Brighton, the suspended ceiling work we deliver covers the full commercial spectrum, modular grid and tile systems for offices and education, MF and concealed-grid plasterboard for high-specification meeting rooms and lobbies, metal plank and tile systems for transport hubs, retail and feature interiors, and acoustic suspended ceilings where reverberation control sits at the front of the brief. The mix of buyers we typically work with across South East settings sits in the education, hospitality, creative and small-commercial sectors, and the ceiling package is almost always programmed alongside dry-lining, M&E first-fix, lighting and sprinkler installation rather than as an isolated trade. Specifications come from architects, acoustic consultants and main-contractor design teams, and we install to the manufacturer's tested system documents on every assembly.

The South East is a varied market, Brighton's hospitality and creative scene, the wider Sussex and Surrey commercial belt, and a strong independent education sector. Buyers tend to be smaller and more design-led than in the heavier industrial regions.

When to specify a ceilings contractor in the South East

Retail and hospitality buyers expect overnight or out-of-hours installation against trading constraints, a working pattern we are comfortable with from years of national rollout work. The South East commercial market spans education, hospitality, creative and small-commercial buyers, and the package profile we see most often is a coordinated ceilings and dry-lining scope inside a wider fit-out, refurbishment or new-build programme. Where the brief is consultant-written, an architect or acoustic specialist setting out a documented specification, we install to that exact system; where the brief is contractor-led we work back from the master programme and price against a measured take-off.

How we work in Brighton

We work Brighton from our Derby head office, we don't operate a satellite yard in the city, and we frame coverage honestly on that basis. Brighton is around three and a half hours from Derby via the M1, M25 and A23, usually a residential mobilisation for the duration and priced into the cost up front. Surveys, mobilisation and snagging visits are planned around our regular travel pattern, and the price you see is the price you pay, we don't charge travel as an extra after the fact.

The suspended ceilings systems we install

Most Brighton ceiling packages we price split into three families: high-volume modular grid (mineral fibre on T-bar, the workhorse for offices, education and retail); plasterboard MF and concealed-grid systems where the architect wants a flush or hidden-suspension finish; and architectural metal and timber where the ceiling itself is part of the brief. On the modular side we work with Zentia, Rockfon and Ecophon tiles, on 24 mm and 15 mm grid in square-edge, tegular and microlook profiles. Plasterboard ceilings, MF framing, two layers of board where fire compartmentation crosses, joints taped, filled and skim-finished, come from British Gypsum and Knauf system documents. Hunter Douglas, SAS International and Knauf Ceiling Solutions cover the metal plank, tile and bespoke perforated work; Hunter Douglas and Décor cover the timber linear, slatted and panelled offer. Acoustic specifications get an Ecophon Master tile or a Solo raft solution sized to the absorption target. We follow the manufacturer's system in every case.

Recent projects across the South East

Brighton and the wider Sussex commercial market is design-led, independent education, hospitality, creative-industry offices and feature-led retail interiors, with a much smaller heavy-industrial footprint than the Midlands or the North, and we deliver ceilings programmes for buyers across that fabric, see our project portfolio for documented case studies of the ceiling, dry lining and acoustic work we have completed in the wider region. Most of the work we do in the area arrives through main-contractor relationships rather than open tender, and the package profile is typically a coordinated ceiling, dry-lining and acoustic scope inside a wider commercial fit-out or refurbishment programme.

About Eastledge Interiors

Eastledge Interiors is a Derby-based commercial fit-out specialist established in 1986, working across suspended ceilings, dry lining, acoustic panelling and taping and jointing. We mobilise from our Alvaston yard with our own time-served fixers, supervisors and dry-liners, no rotated subcontract chains, and run every package against the principal contractor's master programme with documented manufacturer system installs and FIS Site Guide tolerances throughout. Where the brief is consultant-written we install verbatim; where it is contractor-led we work back from the programme and price against a measured take-off.

Our crews carry CSCS cards across the relevant card colours, our supervisors hold SSSTS or SMSTS as the package warrants, and we operate to the standard CDM 2015 duties as either principal contractor on direct-to-client work or as a sub-contractor inside a wider programme. We are insured for the public, employer's and contract liability covers normal for commercial fit-out at our scale, and we hold supplier accreditations with the major UK manufacturers we install, Zentia, Ecophon, Hunter Douglas, Rockfon, British Gypsum and Knauf, which means our installation method statements are written against the documented system rather than improvised on site. References, insurance certificates, accreditation letters and method statement examples are available on request as part of any pre-qualification or framework submission process.
